Generally, cocoyam is a tuber crop that is usually cultivated in West Africa. They are important food crop for more than 400 million people worldwide. Several studies have shown that cocoyam contains digestible starch, protein of good quality, vitamin C, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and high scores of amino acids.
