Jamaican Festival Dough Mix (450g)
Ingredients - Wheat Flour, sugar, corn starch, dehydrated glucose syrup, partially hydrogenated palm oil, salt, raising agents E-500, E341 and E450, emulsifiers E-472a and E471, milk proteins. may contain traces of soya and egg. Once opened store in a cool dry place.
Country of Origin - Jamaica
Instructions - Mix the contents of the packet with 4 ¼ cups of water. Using your hands, kneed the mixture together to make a dough. Let it stand for 10-15 minutes covered by a damp cloth. Cut or pull apart the dough into equal portions and flour lightly. Shape into finger-sized pieces and then flatten. Fry in pre-heated oil of about 2.5cm deep. Turn occasionally and cook until golden brown. Remove from the pan and blot off any excess oil with a paper towel. Serve hot.
